The 1978-born autodidact currently lives and works in Tel-Aviv. While having studied the arts in high school, she draws a unique life experience from spending a decade as a fashion model in European cities such as London, Paris, Milan and Athens. Exhibiting for the first time in 2011, Goren has since presented six solo shows and approximately twenty group shows.
Goren bases her work on her personal life's diary, involving herself, her surroundings, her realationship, and her experiences. She uses graphite only in drawings, and mixed media including ink and oil-stick on cardboard and wood for her paintings.
Her large-scale works are mostly oil on stretched and unstretched canvas . Additionally, Goren has an expertise in various techniques of paper cutting and embroidery.
Goren's works are typically forceful, expressive, and on occasion include hints of social and political critique, as well as indictments against the objectification of women and a deep recearch on her ancestors and familly's past that influences her work consciously and unconsciously. Those are often presented with more than a hint of morbid humour.
She describes her work as " Yidish-Goth".
In her last big projects Goren exhibited a solo in Circle1 gallery-Berlin, published an artist book in collaboration with renowned Israeli poet Daniel Oz in 2017 combined with a solo exhibition with drawings from the book.
Her last solo exhibition was in January 2019 in Zaritzky Artists House curated by the artist Tsibi Geva .
Goren is now working on her next solo exhibition that will open in March 21 in Hamidrasha Gallery with curator Yair Barak .
